Here’s what happened last year. There were tears…
On June 23rd, The Atlanta Opera will be holding auditions for female flamenco/Spanish dancers for its 2012-13 production of Carmen!
Rehearsals begin mid-October; performances are November 10, 13, 16, 18, 2012. Dancers should have strong technique. Professional experience is a plus. We also are looking for a young girl with training in flamenco/Spanish dance who looks to be between 8-12 years old.
Auditions will take place June 23rd:
The Atlanta Opera Center, 1575 Northside Drive
- Auditions for the young girl will begin at 10:30 am
- Auditions for adults will begin at 1:30 pm

The operas are: Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s La traviata, and Rossini’s The Italian Girl in Algiers. Gypsies, tragic love stories, and even a plane crash promise to make this a spectacular season!
